The working principle of the solid expansion temperature switch is to make use of the difference between the length changes of different solids after heating and produce displacement, so as to make the contact action, the output temperature switch signal. For example, one type of temperature switch is made of bimetal sheets (brass sheets superimposed on indium steel sheets), which bend when heated due to the higher linear expansion coefficient of brass sheets than indium steel sheets. When the specified temperature is reached, the free end of the bimetal sheet (the moving contact of the temperature switch) produces enough displacement, and the fixed static contact is disconnected, and the switching signal is sent. Temperature instrument gas expansion temperature switch is based on the principle of gas pressure thermometer. It has a temperature bag filled with nitrogen and connected to the pressure switch’s measuring element through a sealed capillary tube. When the measured temperature reaches the specified value, the charging pressure in the temperature bag makes the pressure switch operate.
