The thin tube of stainless steel pipe fitting is generally calculated by millimeter (mm), and the corresponding size should be purchased according to the demand. The specific calculation method is as follows:

Stainless steel pipe size specifications generally have 3 methods of expression.

The first one is the most common one that uses the outer diameter plus the wall thickness. For example, a pipe with an outer diameter of 57mm has a wall thickness of 3mm, which we denote as φ57 ×3;

The second kind of general pipe diameter, that is, often said the nominal diameter to express, such as the outer diameter of 57mm pipe, we express as DN50;

The third kind is expressed in inches, which is often said in the water heating, for example, the outer diameter of 57mm pipe, we express as 2 inches (1 inch =25.4mm).

The calculation formula of the weight of stainless steel pipe is: weight per meter = (outer diameter – wall thickness) × wall thickness ×0.02491 (unit: outer diameter and wall thickness are mm, weight unit is Kg)
