Single-flaring manual flaring tool, similar to the tool shown in Figure 7-9, is used for flaring tubes. The tool consists of a flaring block or clamping die, a yoke and a flaring pin. The flaring block is a hinged twin rod with holes corresponding to tubing of various sizes. At one end of these holes are countersunk holes to form the external support that forms the bell mouth. The yoke is used to center the flaring pin at the end of the pipe to be flamed. Two types of flaring tools are used to perform flaring on tubing: impact and roll.
